I-64/664 CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENT PLAN

As major stakeholders in Virginia’s roadways, all those involved in logistics and transportation are strongly encouraged to take this VDOT survey and remain involved throughout the decisions process.

VDOT is preparing for the first round of “virtual” meetings for the I-64/664 Corridor Improvement Plan to identify operational, safety and capacity improvements needed in the corridor from the Hampton Roads region to the West Virginia line.  The initial public comment period runs through August 14 to identify the needs; it will be followed by outreach in September on solutions to the top needs and finally presented to Virginia’s Commonwealth Transportation Board in the October/November timeframe for approval.

Below are links to an enhanced study website that contains a brief introductory video, a link to livestream video of the July Commonwealth Transportation Board Workshop presentation on the study, as well as all display materials that would have been available were they were able to do a typical face to face meeting.  There is also a link to an online survey that allows the respondent to “drop pins” and add comments on areas that have needs.  VDOT will post, maintain, and update a FAQs page weekly based on questions we receive during the initial comment period of 7/14 to 8/14/20.
